Amy has recently taken up a Faculty position at the Department of Life Sciences at The University of the West Indies, in Trinidad. As Lecturer in Zoology, she will be teaching undergraduates and postgraduates about zoology, ecology and evolution, while maintaining strong links with the Biodiversity and Behaviour Group in her research. She plans to take advantage of her tropical location by continuing to use the Trinidadian guppy as a model species in evolutionary and ecological studies, as well as adding to the already large longitudinal dataset collected during her five years of postdoctoral research on aquatic biodiversity, as part of the BioTIME project.

Originally started as an independent offshoot of the University of London, The University of the West Indies currently serves 17 English-speaking regional territories.

The St Augustine campus emerged from the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture in the 1960s, and as a result is well landscaped with interesting botanical specimens, such as the spectacular giant samaan trees seen in these photos.
