Our Action Plan

Specific actions for both species and habitats, and for promoting engagement, are in the Biodiversity Action Plan. This contains a list of actions, detailed at the level of purpose, how it will be achieved, who has ownership of the action and its progress. For example, to increase connectivity through hedgerow planting, the Estates ground management team expertly implements strategic planting in locations identified through biodiversity monitoring. The Biodiversity Action Plan is a living document, officially updated every year in December through an open workshop where all University members – professional and academic staff and students – are welcome to attend and contribute. The Biodiversity Action Plan is also updated as and when, by the Biodiversity Working Group, that consists of the key stakeholders tasked with carrying out the actions.
